Six buildings · six Krkonoše herbs

Every building has its own story.

The name AERIS reveals what is most natural to Velká Úpa and its mountain environment. Clean air, space, an exceptional climate, and the ease of mountain living. It evokes a place where one can breathe, slow down, and take in the beauty of the landscape with all the senses.

AERIS Resort Krkonoše

The resort's six buildings carry the names of mountain herbs that naturally reflect the character of the Krkonoše – their purity, resilience, tranquility, and the healing power of nature. Each has its own symbolism and atmosphere: from the unique Campanula bohemica, a Krkonoše endemic, to Valeriana, Salvia, and Verbena, associated with regeneration, fragrance, and balance.

Verbena is an unassuming yet graceful herb associated with calm, balance, and gentleness. It doesn't draw attention through show, but through quiet presence, much like the mountain landscape.

A word from the founder
"I've loved the Czech mountains since childhood, and I still return here with my family whenever time allows. When we started preparing our own projects, it was natural for me to focus on places I have a personal connection to."

AERIS Resort Garden

A living garden
at the heart of the resort.

The six buildings of AERIS Resort will carry the names of mountain herbs and flowers.

This motif is also reflected in the design of the grounds, where herb and flower beds inspired by the Krkonoše flora will be created, as a natural link between architecture, landscape, wellness, and discovering the local nature.

Campanula bohemica

An endemic of the Krkonoše.

Campanula bohemica, the Bohemian bellflower, is one of the botanical symbols of the Krkonoše Mountains. This mountain endemic grows exclusively in the Krkonoše, on both the Czech and Polish sides of the range.

In the AERIS Resort concept, it evokes the fragility of the local nature, the purity of the mountain environment, and the responsibility with which the Krkonoše landscape must be approached.
